Data retention policy

This retention policy is effective as of . This page is published separately from the main privacy policy on purpose — the 2025 COPPA amendments require a written, published retention policy, and making it its own page makes it obviously present rather than buried in a longer document.

Summary in plain language

  • Most Yodelope data never leaves the device, so there's nothing for us to retain.
  • What we do hold — support correspondence, purchase confirmations from the app stores — is kept only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for.
  • We do not retain personal information indefinitely.

Data that stays on the device

Gameplay progress, avatar and wardrobe choices, singer names, Range Buddy assignments, and coin balances are stored locally on the device Yodelope is installed on. We never receive a copy. Retention of this data is entirely in the parent's control — it's removed the moment a profile is deleted or the app is uninstalled.

We do not retain any of the above indefinitely.

Voice audio: nothing to retain

Voice audio is processed on-device in real time and is never written to storage or transmitted, so there is no voice data in our possession at any point for a retention period to apply to. See /privacy for the full explanation of how that works.

How deletion works

To delete on-device data: remove the relevant profile from Grown-Ups Zone → Profiles, or uninstall the app. To delete anything Spindlecode holds directly (a signup email, a support thread), contact us at contact@yodelope.com; we will confirm what we found and delete it, or confirm we hold nothing.
