When is Yodelope coming out?
Yodelope is in active development for iOS and Android. Sign up on the homepage and we'll email you — once — when it's ready.
What devices will it work on?
iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets at launch. TODO(product): confirm minimum OS versions once determined.
Does my child need an account?
No. There's no sign-up, no username, and no email required for a child to play. Up to four child profiles live locally on the device.
Can I turn off purchases entirely?
Every purchase already sits behind a parental gate built for an adult's hand, not a child's. Beyond that, your device's own operating-system parental controls (Screen Time on iOS, Family Link on Android) can restrict in-app purchases at the OS level if you want a second layer.
The microphone doesn't seem to be picking up my child's voice.
Inside the app: try moving closer to the device, turning down background noise, and disconnecting any Bluetooth headphones (they can add delay). Once released, more detailed troubleshooting will live here and in the app's own Mic Trouble screen.
How do I review, correct, or delete my child's data?
Most Yodelope data lives only on the device — delete a profile in Grown-Ups Zone → Profiles, or uninstall the app, to remove it. For anything Spindlecode holds directly, see "Data requests" below.
Can I add my own song files?
TODO(product): sideloading a parent-supplied song folder is an open decision (open-decisions.md D-022) — not committed for v1. Update this answer once decided.
Where do the songs come from?
Public-domain compositions with our own recordings, and original songs written for the app. See /songs for more.
